1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vetted website and the purchase of products and services offered by Vetted ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta and applicable European Union regulations, including the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Distance Selling Regulations.

2. About Vetted

Vetted is a Maltese-based service specialising in the importation of puppies from reputable European breeders. We also offer curated puppy care products through our online shop. All puppies are imported in compliance with applicable EU and Maltese animal welfare and transport regulations.

3. Services

Vetted provides the following services:

• Importation of puppies from certified European breeders to Malta.
• Veterinary oversight throughout the importation process.
• Sale of curated puppy care products via our online shop.
• Post-purchase support and advice for puppy owners.

4. Orders and Payments

• Product orders are placed via WhatsApp. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that the information you provide is accurate.
• All prices displayed on our website are in Euros (€) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
• Payment methods and terms will be communicated and agreed upon via WhatsApp at the time of order.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors or suspected fraud.

5. Delivery

• Product delivery is available across Malta. Delivery is free of charge unless otherwise stated.
• Delivery times will be communicated at the time of order. While we strive to meet estimated delivery dates, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.
• Risk of loss or damage to products passes to you upon delivery.

6. Consumer Rights and Cancellations

In accordance with Maltese consumer protection law and the EU Consumer Rights Directive:

• You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the product, without giving any reason (right of withdrawal).
• To exercise this right, please contact us at vettedmalta@gmail.com or via WhatsApp.
• Products must be returned in their original, unused condition. You are responsible for the cost of returning the product unless it is defective.
• Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using the same payment method as the original transaction.
• Perishable goods and items that have been opened or used may be exempt from the right of withdrawal, in accordance with applicable law.

7. Puppy Importation Terms

• The importation of puppies is subject to a separate agreement between the buyer and Vetted, which will outline specific terms including pricing, timelines, health guarantees, and responsibilities.
• All puppies are imported with valid EU Pet Passports, vaccinations, microchipping, and any required documentation as mandated by Maltese and EU regulations.
• Vetted guarantees the health of all puppies at the time of delivery, supported by veterinary health checks. A detailed health guarantee will be provided with each puppy.
• Vetted acts as an intermediary between the buyer and the breeder. We take every reasonable measure to ensure the welfare and health of the puppy, but cannot be held liable for genetic conditions that manifest after delivery.

8. Website Use

• You may use our website for lawful purposes only.
• All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Vetted and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written consent.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Maltese law:

• Vetted shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant product or service.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Malta's Data Protection Act (Chapter 586).

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese courts. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Maltese law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
